Honestly, I tried so hard to like this movie. I'm not a huge Ryan Gosling fan by any means but I was actually excited for this movie from the trailers I had seen and I couldn't have been more let down. The dialogue was absolute garbage with everyone speaking at about seven words a minute- and half of the movie was either awkward silences or slow motion shots of the main character driving around or sitting in his apartment assumably pondering the life choices that have lead him to this point in his movie career. I haven't ever walked out of a movie before but I'll admit after an hour an a half of having nothing to look at I had to leave the theater. I can appreciate most artistic visions i

One of the best movies in recent times. Homage to the best film of the '80s. Excellent.

Don't waste your money going to this one. You stare at Ryan Goslings face close up, in awkward silence for most of the movie. While all of the action only takes up about 10 min of the whole movie.

The WORST movie I've seen in a long time. Bored me to tears. The story had the potential to be a good movie, but fell totally flat.

This was a pointless waste of time...nothing made sense. This is probably the worst movie I've seen ever!!! Don't even wait for video!

Anyone expecting a standard action film, or something that isn't violent, should stay away. But it's a beautifully shot, well-acted film, well worth seeing.

The problem is, teenagers went to see this film because of Ryan Gosling and were not mature enough to handle him in this subject matter. I am a 20 year old film fan and i thought this film was terrific, a true artists film that is mixed with its own edge and style. This film IS for fans of "FILM" and not for fans of seeing a handsome actor in a movie. That's the problem with al ot of the people who saw it. They simply were not mature enough. High suspense, high tension, great film.

This movie was terrible. Imagine the worst movie you have ever seen and then watch it in slow motion. BORING
