Love this movie. Exudes coolness with every turn. It was interesting to see some of the less assuming characters become violent out-of-the-blue. It fit the tone of the movie well. Fantastic soundtrack too. Gotta pick that up.

Not your run-of-the-mill action movie...It's one of those one-off classic action movies that reminds us of the flim noir generation plus the colours...If you're looking for a hardcore action movie, you'll be disappointed...But if you're one with a good taste in movies with multiple genres, this is worth it...

While Ryan Gosling did an excellent job as leading man, I found the movie to be very slow moving, which ended up making the couple of "gory" scenes stand out, but also seem like too much. The movie reminded me a lot of No Country for Old Men, which is a very hard movie to compare to unfortunately. If you are going to see this one, wait for it to come out on DVD/Blu-Ray.

This is not your run-of-the mill movie. While it has a few gory episodes, they were by and large not gratuitous. The use of less dialogue gives Gosling a chance to shine as a true actor. Good direction. Unfortunately Cary Mulligan does not get to do much.
