i think this was a great movie. but at the same time i know ppl who thought it was boring, infact i was one of the few people in the theatre still awake at the end. perhaps it was the fact that i felt very intouch with the movie because i had read the book, which gave a whole new feeling to the movie. reading the book then watching the movie i got a deeper sense of everything around them. i no a person who read the book after then rewatched the movie and enjoyed it much more. i think that the big name actors helped this movie somewhat because it gave it more attention, but either way no matter the cast, it was still a very good movie. it is b

It`s too bad that this movie lost out the Best Picture Oscar to "Crash." Sure, I love that movie too, but the issue of racism has been played out in the past so many times! We rarely get to see something that`s different, daring and thought provoking. "Brokeback Mountain" deserved to win! I will never, ever watch the Oscars ever again. In my opinion, this is THE BEST PICTURE OSCAR WINNER!

I`m so happy Crash won best picture and not this one. I mean, this one just doesn`t cut it. It`s got shocking stuff in it, but since when does that mean it should win best picture? Crash is a masterpiece. This was just a boring film. Scenery was nice, but storyline? Not good.

GREAT MOVIE! I was upset to see that this movie did not win the Best Picture Catagory. HEATH LEDGER and JAKE JYLLENHALL did a SUPERB job of acting that I have not seen in a long while. Both should have also been awarded for BEST ACTOR/SUPPORTING ACTOR. The Academy Awards really disappointed me with their SAFE CHOICE in choosing Crash in Best Picture. Brokeback Mountin is more emotional and it requires that you challenge your beliefs. This movie could change your idea on what Love means.

Great movie, keeps you thinking for days at how sad it is that two people can be so deeply in love and unable to be together. Really makes you think. Definately should see it, but make sure to look past the "gay" thing and look at the love story. What people do in their own privacy is nobody`s buisness so those that have a problem with that should get over it. I`m hetrosexual but am able to understand the underlying meaning here. Loved the show!!

I looved this movie. Anyone who says its about gay guys don`t understand that it is really a wonderful love story and the fact that these guys go both ways really should not be a problem except for people like you.
