WOW, this movie was complete garbage. It was a movie that is indeed destined for oscar, right up there with Clint Eastwood`s Unforgiven (another huge disappointment). Oscar appears to be reserved now for those movies that people feel they must like because the critics favour it. This movie was incredibly slow and boring. I was praying for death, my death by the end of the film. Even the scenario of the gay relationship was so poorly handled that it was not believable. Hands down, one of the worst films I have ever seen and I love a film driven by the plot and character development both of which were completely alien to this poor excuse

This movie is absolutely beautiful. The cinematography was gorgeous and the natural beauty of the mountains together with the simplicity of the rest of the sets brought the emotional portrayals to the edge. The acting was fabulous by both Jake and Heath, the emotions raw and heartfelt, and it makes the point clear -- give in to love no matter what the rest of the world may think. This film is the best I`ve seen in many years and I see them all. An Oscar contender for sure.

I think other movies have too much straight sex. its comparable. and there was only really one! and it was wayyyyy less pornographic then straight sex scenes!
