This movie was REALISTIC since the 2 guys were not all that experieced with their sexuality so the movie realistically portrayed an awkward sexual realtionship. It was appaling that some people are so self-righteous; they demean other people`s feelings cause they`re into boinking a member of the opposite sex. It`s convenient for critics to ignore that the gay characters had a loving relationship with kids/parents. That`s a famiy value!

What really shows how selfish they are is that they got married and had kids. If you`re gay, don`t mess around with women and mess up their lives and the lives of kids. And to the person who thinks we`re brainwashed to be hetero, are you okay in the head? If we`re being brainwashed, it`s to accept a gay lifestyle as an alternative. Nobody`s brainwashed to be what they already are.

Saw it, and there wasn`t this tenderness people talk about. It was boring combined with crude dialogue and needless disturbing scenes. Typical liberal Hollywood to push movies like this, then to garner it with awards for being so daring and beautiful. I`m gonna make a movie about the struggling love between two cousins in a world of prejudice. It too will be daring and beautiful!!! LOL! Please stop the madness!

Disliking a movie based on the sexual prefrences of the lead characters makes about as much sense as disliking a song cause of the colour of the lead singer. Go see this movie, base you reviews on the quality of the content. And remember, it`s only fiction.

very touching and tragic love story. was a bit slow and could have had more intamit seens together to show there real love for each other. it is a pleasure to see a movie like this on the big screen and to have a story behind it. i found it very touching when the trip to jacks house was made and the shirts were found. there was also the mothers way of excepting jacks way. i am sure that many people will just hate it because of the homosexual content but it shows that there are feeling that surpass all the brainwashing we have had for years to be hetersexual. i am glad that so many are going to see this movie it may open there eyes to the fac

Five stars! Great acting and great story. The intolerance and hatred shown towards gays in the movie, to represent the societal structure in 60`s Wyoming, is obviously still around today, seen in some of the comments. This is how their love turned into tragedy for both Jack and Ennis, as well as their wives and children. If there wasn`t intolerance or hatred, every character in this movie would have had a MUCH better life.
