A good film but not nearly as great as all the publicity suggests.

From an open-minded heterosexual males’ point of view, this film was too much. The love story could have been communicated with less nudity and sexual scenes. This one definitely will appeal to women more then men. Why was I naïve enough to believe it would be any different? The next time a film on a similar topic comes out, I will not be inclined to go, because of Brokeback Mountain!

    1) I stayed silent throughout the entire film except for during one part, when I collapsed in a stream of sobbing tears. I had to stuff my face in my pashmina to stifle them. 2) The score, which won best orig. score, moved the movie along and said volumes that weren`t spoken. The scenes were breathtaking. The dialogue was minimal, but... Powerful. All superficial elements paled in comparison to the storyline, however. 3) I don`t think that I`ve ever walked away from a movie theatre feeling like I just watched a piece of history unfold. Finally, and this point is the most important so it`s going to stand alone: Those men are the best

I`ve seen it 2x; if I see it any more, I`ll be hospitalized in a facility for the insane because I won`t be able to stop crying.

It was an absolute beautiful and heartbreaking movie! I saw it weeks ago and can`t stop thinking about it!! Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger did an incredible job, definitely my favourite movie.

"BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN" is a tender deeply human and touchiung film about two people`s love for one another. I didn`t ever believe a film like this would find many main stream moviegoers desiring to see it. I am so happy those who have seen it are as touched by the film as was I. It is not a "gay" movie but simply about life and love and so few of us know truly so that love has many faces. Think about it.

I can`t wait to buy dvd. If people who complaned that is a gay movie, please don`t see Brokeback Mountain and go see Hostle.

Maybe I would`ve enjoyed it better if Heath hadn`t mumbled all his lines and if the two leads hadn`t been so selfish. If you wanna be with someone, do it. Just don`t go and involve innocent people and break their hearts and ruin their lives while you`re trying to figure out what the hell you`re doing.
