This is one of the most powerful movies that has been made in many years about a relationship gay or straight. I don`t see Ennis or Jack as being selfish in marrying women. They did this because this is what society said they must do. Being afraid of societal opinions can lead many people to do things that make them unhappy, particularly when they are still young and very impressionable. This movie was not slow or boring. It developed the relation ship gradually in a suspended in time sort of way that comes to an abrut end when they have to face the real world and it`s consequences. They thought it was just one of those things in their past so

I THOUGHT THE MOVIE WAS A FANTASTIC LOVE STORY. THE ACTING WAS GREAT AND THE SURROUNDINGS WERE BEAUTIFUL. I`D RECOMMENED IT TO EVERYBODY AND TELL THEM TO SEE IT WITH AN OPEN MIND.

I found it very intense and awsome drama for it makes you think how love can be hard to have even if it`s the only thing you want

It is terrible that the GAY content is not mentioned in any previews, It`s a nice Hollywood trick, the Alberta scenes were good but I am not interested in watching two guys make out.. it is not old thinking but I HAVE RIGHTS TOO...I choose not to watch this garbage so please do not trick more people. BAD MOVIE Tom L. Vancouver BC

The acting was good, but the plot was not! It was essentially about 2 people who fell in love , married other people and cheated while they were married. The homosexuality didn`t bother me , but the cheating did.

A great movie about 2 people in love and what they endure to make it last. Their love stands the test of society`s backwards thinking, that still lingers unfortunatly today. It is groundbreaking to finally see other depictions of different kinds of love on the big screen, making people realize there are many people in the world that can find a love so strong nothing can take it away. It is admirable that this type of film will open the doors to so many people who live in a similar situation, that we should be accepting of everybody and their beliefs, because everyone should be able to love without shame.

This movie was incredible. I myself, being a straight male, 19 years old, decided to view this with an open mind. It is an amazing tale of how love should not be confined to such borders as age, race, or even gender. What we need is a movie like this, to shake up culture. Love should not be confined by body. It is a joining of souls.
