very touching, I was moved by it.. given the "times" and what is expected... I came away, feeling a lot of remorse, well worth the money spent.

I went with my boyfriend on valentines day.Usually i`m the one grabbing his arm during frightening scenes in a movie. This time he was holding on to my arm and had his eyes covered during certain scenes. On the whole my date with him was great but I doubt he enjoyed the movie.I`ll make it up to him on SBB day -Tracey, Toronto

If you saw this movie and thought "What a great love story", then seek help now. The relationship shared by the main characters is so disfunctional and abusive, not to mention destructive to themselves and their families, that I am amazed that people can call this film touching. Beautiful mountains, ugly, ugly relationship. Am I the only one who thought Ledger sounded like Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade?

Loved it!!! Sometimes hard to watch but it was truly a story about forbidden love. Very emotional. In fairness to the audience there should have been information given in the previews about the nature of the love story.
