I wish I would have read the reviews before seeing it. I'd give it zero stars if could. Terrible!

If you are expecting to see a pretty, romantic Wuthering Heights, watch the original from 1939 on Turner Classic Movies on TV instead. Emily Bronte is rolling in her grave since this remake debuted! Dark and depressing. The main 2 characters go at it like a pair of rabbits throughout the movie. Such a deviation from 1939. And the ending, ugh! Don't waste your money!

It is hard to understand it most of the times.

The actors are great! I never thought the original was a wonderful love story, but i did love it I was so prepared to love this one.... this didn't have to be so graphic I wonder why so much more wasn't conveyed without going into the torture and abuse!!! Try a little more Hitchcock attitude next time..we didn't have to see but we " saw everything " it is the theatre of the mind after all. Be honest I think if they made this movie again it would look a little different.you had great actors but you didn't trust in them.

Some dummy said they were tricked into thinking the movie was romantic. Most people with a brain know what Wuthering Heights is all about.

I bought the book after seeing the movie. Books cover more territory, but the movie was terrific

This is an interpretation of a memory the director had when she read the book as a teenager. She deliberately shifted into fantasy, away from the source material. (Which is also messed up. So many coming on here shocked as though the book, also, isn’t disturbing.) I thought it was brilliant. Intense, dark, but also, utterly, devastatingly gorgeous. Not a blueprint to live your life, but a study in obsessive love.

True review: A messed up adopted step brother & his sister get it on, over and over and…over. Despite her marrying a seemingly good dude, she lusts after her sadistic, S&M, wierdo “adopted brother”, who in turn lusts after her. I’ve seen some bad flicks…this one takes the prize. You’re better off searching “Renfare S&M” at home than wasting life’s time & money to watch this garbage. Needless to say if you see pg13 advertised, it is absolutely not.

Disturbed to see young teenagers together viewing this movie. Story was imprinted with what the writers felt necessary to enhance? An already classic romance. Should be 18+ pardon my prudence. As I’m not.

Additional , out of period , let’s say sexual self touching and acts . Beautiful scenes costumes. Heath cliff great in payback scenes. Again, A bit sensational relationships . With some truth .
