Samia Overview
An Algerian teen living in southern France, Samia (Lynda Benahouda) must contend with both the restrictions of her traditional Muslim family and the prejudices of close-minded locals. Making her life even more miserable is her big brother, Yacine (Mohamed Chaouch), who is out to make sure that Samia behaves properly, but this approach only causes the frustrated young woman to lash out even more. Feeling increasingly hounded by her brother and her parents, Samia takes drastic action.
