Michael J. “Crocodile” Dundee (Paul Hogan) is a man of many mysteries, hunting crocodiles for a living in the wild Australian Outback. He leads an unconventional life and is subject to many rumors because of his bizarre job and eccentric behavior.
When American reporter Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowksi) travels from New York City to write a story about him, she witnesses the hunter in action and dismisses her initial opinions about him. An unexpected romance develops between the two, and their trip back to New York City ends with surprising results.
